What JobCraft Does

JobCraft is a Chrome extension that analyzes job listings against your resume to provide fit scores, tailored resumes, and cover letters.

Information We Collect

• Google account info: Your name and email address, collected via Google OAuth when you sign in.
• Resume and cover letter: The documents you upload, stored on our servers to generate tailored versions for each job.
• Job listing content: The text of job descriptions you choose to analyze, read from the active browser tab only when you click "Analyze This Page."
• Profile preferences: Optional information you provide such as target level, LinkedIn URL, website, and job preferences.

How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate your account and maintain your session.
• Analyze job listings against your resume to generate fit scores.
• Generate tailored resumes and cover letters using AI.
• Save your tailored documents to your Google Drive when you choose to open them in Google Docs.

Information We Do Not Collect

• We do not track your browsing history or web activity.
• We do not collect health, financial, or location data.
• We do not monitor clicks, scrolls, or keystrokes.
• We do not read any page content unless you explicitly click "Analyze This Page."

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or transfer your personal information to third parties. Your resume and job data are sent to our backend API for processing and to Anthropic's API for AI analysis. These services process data solely to provide JobCraft's functionality.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted by Render. Authentication tokens are stored locally in your browser using Chrome's storage API. We use HTTPS for all data transmission.

Google Drive Access

JobCraft requests access to Google Drive solely to save your tailored resumes and cover letters when you click "Open in Google Docs." We use the drive.file scope, which limits access to only files created by JobCraft. We cannot read or modify any other files in your Drive.

Data Deletion

You can delete your account and all associated data by contacting us. Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data from your browser.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
